Our Team

 

Erinn Andrews
Founder and CEO

Erinn is a social entrepreneur and innovator who has been actively engaged in the philanthropic sector for almost 15 years. Most recently, she led the Effective Philanthropy Learning Initiative at Stanford’s Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (PACS) where she conducted research to understand donor behavior, published resources for high-capacity donors and advisors supporting high-capacity donors, and developed innovative education programs—for donors and financial advisors.

Prior to Stanford PACS, Erinn led GuideStar’s (now Candid) nonprofit strategy, managing the largest database of nonprofit information in the US. While at GuideStar, she developed and launched the GuideStar bronze, silver, gold, and platinum levels of distinction, encouraging more organizations to self-report qualitative and (standardized) quantitative impact data.

After earning her B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University, she launched a start-up nonprofit called Philanthropedia (with funding from the Hewlett Foundation) to identify high-impact nonprofits across multiple cause-areas. Philanthropedia was ultimately acquired by GuideStar.

Erinn also serves on the national board of International Advisors in Philanthropy. She lives in Menlo Park with her husband, two elementary-aged children, and their fluffy pup, Nugget.

 
 

Isabel Nogueira
Director of Community Engagement

As Director of Community Engagement, Isabel works with local community partners to build regional nonprofit databases and recommend nonprofits to donors. 

Isabel is a development practitioner with 6 years of working experience with project management and community outreach. Most recently, she worked as Senior Community Engagement Strategist at CivicMakers, a consultancy specialized in community engagement and innovation for the public sector. Previously, Isabel was the Temporary Program Manager of External Relations at the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society, where she focused on cultivating donor communities, fundraising, and supporting public events. 

She received her Master’s in Development Practice from UC Berkeley, during which she conducted research at CARE International and held an internship at the Hewlett Foundation's Gender Equity and Governance program. Isabel was also Program Manager at the Center for Latin American Studies at UC Berkeley and a Princeton in Latin America fellow with the nonprofit Saúde Criança in Rio de Janeiro. Prior to her fellowship, Isabel worked with educational organizations in Latin America and the United States. She was raised in Brazil, Sweden, and the United States and speaks Portuguese and Spanish fluently.

Davina Hurt
City Council Member | Board Member
City of Belmont | California Air Resources Board

Davina Hurt is a mom, attorney, e-bike owner, two-term councilwoman and past mayor of the City of Belmont, CA. She was appointed to the California Air Resources Board by Governor Gavin Newsom in 2020 and confirmed by the Senate in 2021. She is the board president of Samaritan House of San Mateo County and sits on numerous state and regional boards focused on air quality, consumer affairs, transportation and the climate. Her latest project participation is in the Equity Forward initiative of SVCF as an advisory committee member.

Raaida Mannaa
Director, Latino Giving Circle Network
Latino Community Foundation

A social innovation expert with more than fifteen years of experience, Raaida Mannaa has developed a number of initiatives in over 60 countries globally, building strategic multisectoral partnerships and robust intercultural networks, and working with senior leaders, public figures, and the community at the grassroots level. In her current role as the Director of the Latino Community Foundation's Latino Giving Circle Network®, Raaida leads the growth and development of the largest network of Latino donors in the United States.

John E. McGuirk
Interim Vice President
Community Foundation Sonoma County

John E. McGuirk is Interim Vice President at Community Foundation Sonoma County and an independent creative strategies consultant focused on helping philanthropic institutions and nonprofit organizations to improve their impact. In addition, John has served for the past 8 years as adjunct professor at Claremont Graduate University, teaching strategic planning and change management. Previously, John has held senior leadership positions at the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the James Irvine Foundation, and Arts Council Silicon Valley. John holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Grove City College and a master’s degree in public management from Carnegie Mellon University.

Paul Ocampo
Development Director
Advancing Justice—Asian Law Caucus

Paul Ocampo is the Development Director of Advancing Justice—Asian Law Caucus, the nation's first Asian American civil rights and legal non-profit organization. Before joining Advancing Justice—Asian Law Caucus, he earned an M.A. in Asian American Studies from UCLA and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Arizona State University. He co-edited an anthology titled Veterans of War, Veterans of Peace with Maxine Hong Kingston. He serves on many boards and committees of nonprofits including Lacuna Giving Circle, AAPIP (SF Chapter), Kearny Street Workshop, and Association of Fundraising Professionals. He is a Resource Leaders Fellow of Rockwood Leadership Institute.

Marc Philpart
Executive Director
California Black Freedom Fund

Marc Philpart was named executive director of the California Black Freedom Fund in April 2022, bringing more than a decade of leadership in advocacy working with grassroots organizations to build power for racial justice. He has deep campaign and policy expertise across a wide array of issues, including public health and violence prevention, police and prison abolition, education, the criminalization of youth, economic equity, poverty eradication, and voting and civic engagement. Marc serves on the board of directors for the California Immigrant Policy Center, Partners for Dignity and Rights, and is on an advisory committee for the University of Southern California’s Equity Research Institute.
